Two princes are brawling over the defunct Italian throne. (Via Lew Rockwell) This is amusing, simply because it is happening NOW. If they both had armies, as princes did in past centuries, there would be bloodshed, no doubt. I never really cared for the House of Savoy, not after how they treated the pope. They claim to be the longest reigning family in Europe, but that means "reigning" as nobles, not as monarchs. They were monarchs for a comparatively short time.

The Throne of Italy
