The policy of the revolutionaries so often seems to be that of taking children from their parents' care. The boy-king Louis XVII was forcibly removed from his mother Marie-Antoinette in the summer of 1793. He was eight years old. He was beaten and abused, especially when he refused to deny God. He was forced to sing obscene songs and curse and swear. He was shown pornography. The soldiers poured alcohol down his throat so that he became drunk. It was in an intoxicated state that he was forced to sign the testimony that his own mother had committed incest with him. One can see from his handwriting that he was not himself, especially when comparing it with his schoolwork.
Why did the builders of "liberty, equality, and fraternity" feel compelled to torment a small child? Because they knew that children are the future. To manipulate and enslave a child's mind, to weaken his free will through alcohol, pornography and sexualization, is to make him a creature of the state, an automaton, a drone. The horror of the Temple prison has been replicated, in some degree at least, by every totalitarian dictatorship, by the communist and fascist regimes who wished to enslave the Church and make a god of the nation-state. When the state becomes a god, it is insatiable, for every false god is a demon.

Words fail me. I can only thank you for posting this.
How awful!! How can anyone look at the French Revolution with any respect after reading this?? To abuse a smile child in the name of "liberty, equality, and fraternity" ???
Why should I be surprised. Today we murder babies in the name of "freedom".
This illustrates that the French Revolution wasn't what it promised. Child abuse is just abomindable!
Yes, it was terrible what they did to that little boy.And so many other children, especially in the Vendee.
Some would say it takes a village to raise a child. What if this is your village?
How disgusting to do that to a child. Unfortunely, as we all know these things still do happen.
On another note: Louis XVI corrcted his homework? That's so sweet and, well fatherly.
Just makes you angrier really, when you think of how this family was torn apart.
Shouldn't the French apologise for the crimes committed during the French Revolution, particularly against Louis Charles XVII.
my heart goes out to Louis XVI.....a crime against humnity had been committed by the Republicans against a good and just king. His family had been exterminated...no wonder the french revolution was the precursor to another bloody revolution.....Russian october revolution
God bless this child, and every child who had suffered at the hands of revolutionaries in the name of "freedom".
God bless this child, and every other child who had suffered at the hands of revolutionaries in the name of "freedom"! And poor M.A.... having to hear her sons cries.. as a mother, I couldn't even begin to imagine what her thoughts were..
Petit Prince...
Little martyr, Louis Charles, excuse all us...
Я буду очень рад за французов, когда Луи Шарль будет официально канонизирован как Святой, подобно Святому царевичу Алексею, у нас в России.
