From The National Review:
Someone might want to remind Joe Biden, who’s just picked progressive California senator Kamala Harris as his running mate, that his vice-president-to-be believes Catholics are unfit to serve in our nation’s courts. (Biden, of course, as I considered at length on the homepage today, has spent his entire political career invoking his Catholic faith.)
In late 2018, while evaluating the nomination of Brian Buescher to serve as a district judge in Nebraska, Harris posed a series of questions insinuating that his involvement in the Knights of Columbus — a charitable Catholic fraternal organization — disqualified him from serving on the bench. Here’s one of her written questions:
Since 1993, you have been a member of the Knights of Columbus, an all-male society comprised primarily of Catholic men. In 2016, Carl Anderson, leader of the Knights of Columbus, described abortion as “a legal regime that has resulted in more than 40 million deaths.” Mr. Anderson went on to say that “abortion is the killing of the innocent on a massive scale.” Were you aware that the Knights of Columbus opposed a woman’s right to choose when you joined the organization?
She went on to ask Buescher whether he was “aware that the Knights of Columbus opposed marriage equality when [he] joined the organization” and whether he had “ever, in any way, assisted with or contributed to advocacy against women’s reproductive rights.”
Harris’s colleague, Democratic senator Mazie Hirono of Hawaii, went a bit further, asking Buescher whether he intended to “end [his] membership with this organization to avoid any appearance of bias” — in other words, intimating that she would withhold her vote at least until he had left the Knights of Columbus.
These two Democrats were, in short, suggesting that belonging to a Catholic group with millions of members, which has been an important charity in the U.S. for more than a century, renders an individual unfit to serve as a judge.
More sinister even than that, Harris used Buescher’s membership in the Knights of Columbus as a pretext to insinuate that opposition to abortion, a core component of Catholic teaching on the dignity and value of human life, disqualifies an individual from the bench. (Read more.)
Also from The National Review:
In her first speech since Joe Biden selected her as his running mate, Senator Kamala Harris told multiple lies. To wit:
“The president’s mismanagement of the pandemic has plunged us into the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression,” Harris said.
False. The pandemic and its associated lockdowns, not the president, are responsible for the economic contraction. Donald Trump is not the president of the euro zone, which suffered through an even more dire economic contraction in the second quarter: minus 40.3 percent, on an annualized basis, as against minus 32.9 percent in the US. The U.K. suffered a contraction of 59.8 percent, also on an annualized basis. Donald Trump is not the prime minister of the United Kingdom. The U.S. economy did slightly better than Germany’s in the second quarter. And it’s questionable to compare the current crisis to the Great Depression, which was not only deep but lasted more than a decade. The U.S. added 1.8 million jobs in July and Goldman Sachs predicts 25 percent (annualized) GDP growth in the current third quarter, which would mark an end to the U.S. recession after two quarters.
“Just look where [Trump and Mike Pence] have gotten us. . . . Millions of kids who cannot go back to school,” Harris said.
Wrong. It is not Donald Trump’s decision whether kids go back to school, because the federal government does not run schools, but he has urged the schools to reopen. The primary reason kids cannot go back to school is opposition from teachers’ unions. The second-largest teachers’ union is threatening to strike if schools reopen.
“Six years ago, in fact, we had a different health crisis,” Harris said. “It was called Ebola. We all remember that pandemic.” (Read more.)
From Breitbart:
McGowan has alleged in her memoirs that Weinstein raped her at the Sundance Film Festival in 1997. She has said that Hollywood ignored her claims about Weinstein for years, allowing the producer to continue to prey on young women. Dozens have women have accused Weinstein of sexual assault and harassment.
Shortly after the Weinstein scandal broke in 2017, Harris’s spokesman said the senator planned to donate the Weinstein contributions to the California-based Equal Rights Advocates, a women’s rights group.
Rose McGowan has emerged as one of Joe Biden’s biggest Hollywood
critics after Tara Reade accused the senator of sexually assaulting her
three decades ago when she worked as a Congressional staffer. (Read more.)

She is following the Democrat party line of attacking the President by thinking if they say it enough it becomes true. Sadly they have used the Covid issue as a political ploy against the President....and of course Obama would have waved a hand as he walked across the water and made it all go away.
Biden as a Catholic should have thought twice about choosing Harris as running mate, she does have anti Catholic views.
The covid crisis is been used by the Democrats for political purpose.
