On Pilgrimage

Some beautiful reflections on the grace of pilgrimage from an Irish archbishop.

"We live in the age of the instant, where there is no joy in the anticipation and no time to value the achievement. We have forgotten about the sacredness of now or, as some put it, 'the sacrament of the present moment.' " Share

A thought-provoking message indeed. Some do this pilgrimage following in the footsteps of St. Patrick,in bare feet over very rocky terrain. It is likely that many walk the path their parents and grandparents walked before them, fulfilling both a faith and family tradition.
