Ex-satanist Discusses Religion and Politicians in 2020

From Padre Peregrino in October 2020:

A former satanic high-wizard of the World Satanic Church converted and became a Traditional Latin Mass Catholic who now works for the end of abortion. Zachary King speaks about his conversion via the Miraculous Medal and we then walk back through Zachary's life including his youth, entrance into Satan’s World Church, induction as High Wizard, B*hemian Grove, abortions and curses for the Bild*rb*rg Group and the involvement with Gates at 1:00:00. We end with what Zachary is doing for the end of abortion (after committing so many himself.) This is an exceptional account of the love of Divine Mercy and an unlikely recruitment into "Mary’s Army" as he describes his new vocation.

Why Religion Is Not Going Away and Science Will Not Destroy It

 From Pocket:

Not only has secularism failed to continue its steady global march but countries as varied as Iran, India, Israel, Algeria and Turkey have either had their secular governments replaced by religious ones, or have seen the rise of influential religious nationalist movements. Secularisation, as predicted by the social sciences, has failed.

To be sure, this failure is not unqualified. Many Western countries continue to witness decline in religious belief and practice. Census data released in Australia, for example, shows that 30 per cent of the population identify as having ‘no religion’, and that this percentage is increasing. International surveys confirm comparatively low levels of religious commitment in western Europe and Australasia. Even the United States, a long-time source of embarrassment for the secularisation thesis, has seen a rise in unbelief. The percentage of atheists in the US in 2017 was at an all-time high (if ‘high’ is the right word) of around 3 per cent. Yet, for all that, globally, the total number of people who consider themselves to be religious remains high, and demographic trends suggest that the overall pattern for the immediate future will be one of religious growth. But this isn’t the only failure of the secularisation thesis.

Scientists, intellectuals and social scientists expected that the spread of modern science would drive secularisation – that science would be a secularising force. But that simply hasn’t been the case. If we look at those societies where religion remains vibrant, their key common features are less to do with science, and more to do with feelings of existential security and protection from some of the basic uncertainties of life in the form of public goods. A social safety net might be correlated with scientific advances but only loosely, and again the case of the US is instructive. The US is arguably the most scientifically and technologically advanced society in the world, and yet at the same time the most religious of Western societies. As the British sociologist David Martin concluded in The Future of Christianity (2011): ‘There is no consistent relation between the degree of scientific advance and a reduced profile of religious influence, belief and practice.’

The story of science and secularisation becomes even more intriguing when we consider those societies that have witnessed significant reactions against secularist agendas. India’s first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru championed secular and scientific ideals, and enlisted scientific education in the project of modernisation. Nehru was confident that Hindu visions of a Vedic past and Muslim dreams of an Islamic theocracy would both succumb to the inexorable historical march of secularisation. ‘There is only one-way traffic in Time,’ he declared. But as the subsequent rise of Hindu and Islamic fundamentalism adequately attests, Nehru was wrong. Moreover, the association of science with a secularising agenda has backfired, with science becoming a collateral casualty of resistance to secularism.

Turkey provides an even more revealing case. Like most pioneering nationalists, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Turkish republic, was a committed secularist. Atatürk believed that science was destined to displace religion. In order to make sure that Turkey was on the right side of history, he gave science, in particular evolutionary biology, a central place in the state education system of the fledgling Turkish republic. As a result, evolution came to be associated with Atatürk’s entire political programme, including secularism. Islamist parties in Turkey, seeking to counter the secularist ideals of the nation’s founders, have also attacked the teaching of evolution. For them, evolution is associated with secular materialism. This sentiment culminated in the decision this June to remove the teaching of evolution from the high-school classroom. Again, science has become a victim of guilt by association.

The US represents a different cultural context, where it might seem that the key issue is a conflict between literal readings of Genesis and key features of evolutionary history. But in fact, much of the creationist discourse centres on moral values. In the US case too, we see anti-evolutionism motivated at least in part by the assumption that evolutionary theory is a stalking horse for secular materialism and its attendant moral commitments. As in India and Turkey, secularism is actually hurting science. (Read more.)

The Smile of Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun

From Donga:

It is a portrait of a beautiful combination of a happily-looking mother and her young daughter in her arms staring out of the frame. Drawn by 19th-century French artist Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun, the painting delivers the warmth of motherly love. However, it came under fire upon being released to the public. Here is why.

Le Brun was fortunate to learn drawing at a young age as her father was an artist. Working as a professional portrait painter from her early teen days, she earned enough money to support her family after her father passed away when she was 15 years old. Joining the Saint Luc Academy in Paris at the age of 19, she married a man who was a painter and art dealer two years later. Le Brun enjoyed enormous popularity among upper-class clients not only thanks to her excellent drawing skills but also to gorgeousness, fashionable tastes and sociability. As she captured the attention of Marie Antoinette, Le Brun garnered fame as the queen's official artist and member of the Royal Academy.

The drawing is a self-portrait of Le Brun that she completed at the age of 31. With her daughter Julie in her arms, she looks deeply happy. However, the painting stirred controversy when it was exhibited at the Salon of 1787. Not only other artists but also patrons pointed an accusatory finger at the painting for a single reason. Their criticism targeted the fact that the painting shows a woman grinning from ear to ear, which then was regarded as an outright infringement of traditional arts.

Le Brun was met with bigger troubles when she had to flee France with her daughter as her patrons were brought to justice in the aftermath of the French Revolution. She wandered around many countries while taking care of the little girl on her own for 12 years before coming back to her motherland. She drew portraits of celebrities and famous figures for money and served as a member of the Academy in 10 cities. (Read more.)

The Democrats’ Push to ‘Cancel’ $50k in Student Loan Debt

From FEE:

While this legally dubious use of executive authority is still a matter of debate in Democratic circles, most elected Democrats support “canceling” some student debt via legislation. For example, in May House Democrats passed the “HEROES Act,” a COVID-19 relief package that included $10,000 in taxpayer-financed student debt relief. (To be clear, student debt “cancelation” just means that taxpayers must pay it off.)

Suffice it to say that, to varying extents, student debt cancellation is at the top of the Democratic Party’s agenda. This means the policy is worth serious scrutiny—and it doesn’t hold up well.

For one, progressives claim to be champions of the working class who simply want to use the government to help uplift society’s most vulnerable. Yet with student debt cancellation, liberal politicians are prioritizing the interests of a relatively privileged and well-off segment of their constituency.

That’s right: Taxpayer-financed student debt relief is actually a regressive policy, which means that it disproportionately benefits the wealthy. (Read more.)

73rd Wedding Anniversary

 From Hello!:

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary on 20 November, so we're taking a look at some of the most defining moments in their relationship. To mark the occasion this year, Buckingham Palace released a sweet portrait of the monarch and her husband, taken by royal photographer Chris Jackson, in the Oak Room at Windsor Castle. The Queen and Prince Philip were pictured smiling at a homemade anniversary card from their great-grandchildren, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, which featured a colourful 73 on the front of the card.

When the Queen met her dashing war hero Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark, she was a young Princess Elizabeth, heiress to the British throne. The couple were the William and Kate or Harry and Meghan of their day, with every stage of their courtship eagerly followed by an adoring public. After tying the knot on 20 November 1947, the Princess described her husband in letters to her parents and her cousin as "an angel" and "the best and nicest man in the world". Meanwhile, Philip said ahead of the wedding: "I am sure that I do not deserve all the good things that have happened to me… to have fallen in love, completely and unreservedly."  (Read more.)

Frederica of Mecklenburg-Strelitz

The younger sister of Louise, Queen of Prussia. From Royal Foibles:

Born a daughter of Charles ll, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz and Princess Frederica of Hesse-Darmstadt, she was the paternal niece of George lll’s consort, Queen Charlotte. Shortly after her mother’s death when she was 4, her father married her maternal aunt, Charlotte. Alas, she too died on Frederica’s father after only a year of matrimony. Despairing that he could not provide a mother for his offspring, the Grand Duke sent Frederica and her siblings to be reared and educated under the auspices of their maternal grandmother. It was perhaps while a student of the renown Swiss female tutor, Salome de Geliou, that Princess Frederica became imbued with the, at that time, advanced notion of a woman’s self worth that, in the author’s opinion, was among the reasons for her notoriety later in life.

At fifteen her father and King Frederick William lll of Prussia arranged the marriages of Frederica’s older sister Louisa to Prussia’s Crown Prince Frederick William and of Frederica to the Crown Prince’s little brother, Prince Frederick Louis Karl, more commonly known as Louis. Despite having three children with his wife, Prince Louis openly preferred the company of mistresses. It’s rumored that Princess Frederica retaliated by having an affair with his uncle, Prince Louis Ferdinand. Their marital debacle ended in 1796 when Prince Louis died of diphtheria while on active military duty.

By the next year Fredericka became unofficially engaged to her British cousin Prince Adolphus, Duke of Cambridge. The betrothal ended when his mother and fiancé’s aunt convinced King George lll to veto the match. Perhaps Queen Charlotte believed the rumor concerning Frederica’s affair? Regardless of her reasons, this thwarted betrothal was the first occasion in which Charlotte displayed the animosity toward her niece that would blow up into open hostility in just a few years time. You Are Not Alone…

Some rough language here, sorry. From The Last Refuge:

If President Trump takes our army into a new political party of his choosing, our new party is structurally set to lay waste to any candidate within both wings of the Democrat and Republican assembly. A Trump inspired new political party can wipe out the illusion of the Democrat/Republican two-party system; specifically because much of the Trump movement consists of former democrats and brand new voters.

The MAGA coalition is the most diverse, widest and deepest part of the entire American electorate. President Trump’s army consists of every creed, color, race, gender, ethnicity and orientation. It is a truly color-blind coalition of middle America patriots and middle-class voters that cuts through the political special interest groups.

Quite simply Trump’s MAGA army is the ultimate political splitter party.

No Republican will ever hold office in the next decade without the blessing of President Trump; and there is absolutely no current confidence that President Trump will not lay waste to the system if the GOP acquiesces to the transparent fraud that exists behind the Biden-Harris sham.

Beyond the politics… this 80 million+ vote assembly are consumers of products, goods and services generated by the same elites that hold them in contempt. If President Trump transfers and directs that energy, entities and even entire industries can be wiped out.

There is no precedent here. Eighty million angry Americans resolved to a common objective is not something to be trifled with.

We do not yet know where this current political crisis and ongoing battle is going to end; but we do know that 80,000,000 Americans will not accept the outcome of a political process transparently filled with fraud and manipulation. That makes President Trump a very dangerous entity to the DC system, regardless of whether they admit what surrounds them.

There is no reference point for 80 million Americans being disenfranchised by Wall Street, bribery, corporations, media and big tech. That 80 million person army is fuel for a stunning and cataclysmic shift in the American landscape…. And we will make our voices heard even if they despise us in their listening to it.

You are not alone. You will never be alone. (Read more.)

From Epoch Times:

President Donald Trump lawyer Jordan Sekulow said an election challenge that will be filed this week contains new allegations about irregularities.

“We have got lawsuits likely to be filed in Georgia on either Monday or Tuesday; I can’t get into the details,” he said to Newsmax, without providing any examples. “I can’t tell you right now, but what’s coming in Georgia will be shocking, when we file this in federal court Monday or Tuesday,” he added. “It’s nothing that we have talked [about] before. It’s not what you heard in the press conference [on Thursday] either.

Sekulow, the son of Trump personal attorney and impeachment defender Jay Sekulow, said it is “something completely separate” from the allegations contained in the press conference held by lawyers Sidney Powell, Jenna Ellis, and Rudy Giuliani.

“They’ve got to be outcome determinative, but I will tell you, the Lt. Gov. [Geoff Duncan] in Georgia, the Secretary of State in Georgia [Brad Raffensperger] in Georgia, they’re in for quite a shock on Monday and Tuesday about how poorly they run and they ran—there’s going to be a proof—of how poorly run they ran the elections in one of their major counties,” Sekulow said. Also from The Epoch Times:

Federal Election Commission (FEC) Chairman Trey Trainor said that affidavits from the Trump campaign show that fraud has occurred during the November general election.

“The massive amounts of affidavits that we see in these cases show that there was in fact fraud that took place,” he said during an interview with “Just the News AM” on Friday.

He said it’s important to have transparency surrounding the election process and that answering questions raised by the Trump campaign over election integrity is “very important for the legitimacy of the presidency.”

In response to a question from reporter Carrie Sheffield, Trainor specifically mentioned a sworn affidavit by Steven Miller, a professor of mathematics at Williams College.

Miller—who specializes in analytic number theory and sabermetrics—flagged nearly 100,000 ballots in Pennsylvania for potential voter fraud after analyzing election data and phone interviews.

Between 89,397 to 98,801 ballots were either requested by someone other than the registered Republican, or requested and returned but not counted, he said.

Trainor said that Miller is clearly qualified as an expert witness in almost any court in the United States and that the court would have to look at the information he has provided. (Read more.)

From The Dan Bongino Show:

After members of President Trump’s legal team detected what they believed to be statistical anomalies in the election results, they began to zero in on the company that manufactured the equipment used to tally the votes.

Dominion Voting Systems is one of three major vendors of voting machine equipment in America. Along with Election Systems & Software and Hart InterCivic, they provide over 90 percent of the hardware and software used to conduct elections in the U.S. Smartmatic is a company that provided voting software to many states in this election.

On November 12, the Election Infrastructure Government Coordinating Council (GCC) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Executive Committees issued a joint statement in which they sought to assure voters of the integrity of the election. CISA is an agency of the Department of Homeland Security. The GCC is a “team working under the aegis” of CISA. (Read more.)
