From the BBC:
Southport killer Axel Rudakubana has been sentenced to a minimum of 52 years for the "sadistic" murders of three young girls in an attack described as "shocking" and "pure evil". Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, Bebe King, six, and Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, died while eight other children and two adults – dance class leader Leanne Lucas and businessman Jonathan Hayes – were seriously wounded.
The 18-year-old refused to come into the courtroom as he was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court, having been removed from the dock earlier due to disruptive behaviour – which included demands to see a paramedic and shouts of "I feel ill".
Sentencing him, judge Mr Justice Goose said: "Many who have heard the evidence might describe what he did as evil, who could dispute it?"
The court heard how, just after 11:45 BST on 29 July, Rudakubana moved through the sold-out Taylor Swift-themed dance workshop, organised by Ms Lucas, "systematically" stabbing young girls as they sat making friendship bracelets and singing along to Swift's music.
Prosecutor Deanna Heer KC also described how Rudakubana gloated about the attacks as he was escorted through Copy Lane police station after his arrest – saying he was "glad the children were dead".
The teenager had booked a taxi to take him to Hart Street after leaving his home in Old School Close, Banks, west Lancashire, at 11:10 BST, the court was told.
Ms Heer played footage of Rudakubana asking the driver to point him to the address of the dance class – before getting out without paying.
The driver's dashboard camera also captured Rudakubana walk up the stairs of the Hart Space building to the first-floor studio which had 26 children, Ms Lucas, and her colleague and friend Heidi Liddle inside. (Read more.)
From Sky News:
Before sentencing, the court heard emotional statements from victims and families. Alice's family - who had been planning to surprise her with a trip to Disneyland - said she was "strong and confident" with "unlimited potential". They said her death had "shattered our souls".
Elsie's mum said Rudakubana was a coward and "beyond contempt".
"He took our daughter. There's no greater loss and no greater pain. He has left us with a lifetime of grief," she said.
Dance teacher Leanne Lucas, who was stabbed in the back, said she couldn't give herself "compassion or accept praise, as how can I live knowing I survived when children died?".(Read more.)
Of course, they are blaming the knives. From Steyn Online:
Sir Keir Stürmer and every outpost of the corrupt British state have lied to the public about every aspect of the Southport mass murder since the very first statements by the Liverpool chief constable passing off the killer as a "Cardiff man". Her officers knew within hours that the Welsh boyo who loved male-voice choirs was, back in the real world, an observant Muslim in possession of the Al-Qaeda handbook and enough ricin to kill twelve thousand of his fellow Welshmen. But they did not disclose this information for months - not until freeborn Britons minded to disagree with Keir Stürmer's Official Lies by suggesting that this seemed pretty obviously merely the umpteenth case of Islamostabbing had been rounded up, fast-tracked through Keir's kangaroo courts, gaoled for longer than Muslim child rapists, and in at least one case driven to his death. Does Sir Keir feel bad about the late Peter Lynch? Or does he take the same relaxed attitude to his victims as Axel Rudakubana?
It's a good thing that that far-right extremist is dead... I am so glad... I am so happy.
Even now, six months on, the organs of the state are still lying - although, with all the previous lies being no longer operative, Stürmer & Co have had the wit to introduce a few new ones. For example:
'A total disgrace' that Southport killer could buy a knife on Amazon aged 17, says Cooper
That would be Yvette Cooper, the Home Secretary - which is the equivalent of what Continental governments usually call the Minister of the Interior, because that's where the knives penetrate. (Read more.)
It turns out the killer's father was "Rwanda warlord linked to genocide."
