Taking a Stand

The great heroes are not all in the past. I see more clearly everyday that the greatest heroes are alive today, facing down obstacles for which there is no precedent. Those of us faithful who live now were called to be in this time, called from all eternity to take a stand for life, for God, for the virtue of patriotism. I am really honored to have known the heroes I have met on social media in addition to the truly brave and noble people among my family and close friends.

An open letter from Crossroads Initiative:

Dear Archbishop Gomez,

In your recent statement of November 7, you appealed to Catholics and Americans to conduct themselves with virtue and self-discipline, engaging in public discourse with charity and civility following the election of 2020. I welcome this timely exhortation and will do everything in my power to heed it and encourage others to do so.

However, you then quickly proceeded to recognize and congratulate Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as the victors.

I am sorry, Archbishop Gomez, I cannot follow you in this premature gesture.

Neither the news media nor the USCCB are competent to certify the results of a US presidential election. Margins were razor thin in key states, as you know. Provisional ballots are still being counted. Recounts and serious legal challenges are in process. Respect for voters and candidates alike demand that not we prejudice the process but instead allow it to proceed.

Sadly, election fraud has been a regular feature of American life. While in many past cases, corruption may not have been of sufficient extent to determine the outcome of the presidential election, this time around, it very well may have been.

Courts exist to judge such matters. I believe the evaluation of the evidence and the action to be taken should be left to the appropriate judicial authorities. In fact, this presidential election may be ultimately decided by the Supreme Court, as it was twenty years ago. Once the process is complete and the election results are certified, I will congratulate the winner. Until then, I will pray for America to Our Lady Untier of Knots.

To brush aside the skepticism of millions regarding the integrity of this election is neither just nor wise. It would leave the victors to begin their administration with a cloud of suspicion hanging over them, which is good for no one. (Read more.)

From Archbishop Viganò via Edward Pentin:

Reality no longer matters: it is absolutely irrelevant when it stands between the conceived plan and its realization. Covid and Biden are two holograms, two artificial creations, ready to be adapted time and time again to contingent needs or respectively replaced when necessary with Covid-21 and Kamala Harris. The accusations of irresponsibility thrown at Trump supporters for holding rallies vanish as soon as Biden’s supporters gather in the streets, as has already happened for BLM demonstrations. What is criminal for some people is permitted for others: without explanations, without logic, without rationality. The mere fact of being on the left, of voting for Biden, of putting on the mask is a pass to do anything, while simply being on the right, voting for Trump or questioning the effectiveness of masks is sufficient reason for condemnation and an execution that does not require any evidence or a trial: they are ipso facto labeled as fascists, sovereignists, populists, deniers – and those labeled with these social stigmas are supposed to simply silently withdraw.

We thus return to that division between good people and evil people, that is ridiculed when it is used by one side – ours – and conversely held up as an incontestable postulate when used by our adversaries. We have seen this with the contemptuous comments responding to my words about the “children of Light” and the “children of darkness,” as if my “apocalyptic tones” were the fruit of a ravingly mad mind and not the simple observation of reality. But by disdainfully rejecting this Biblical division of humanity, they have actually confirmed it, restricting to themselves alone the right to give the stamp of social, political, and religious legitimacy.

They are the good ones, even if they support the killing of the innocent – and we are supposed to get over it. They are the ones supporting democracy, even if in order to win elections they must always resort to deception and fraud – even fraud that is blatantly evident. They are the defenders of freedom, even if they deprive us of it day after day. They are objective and honest, even if their corruption and their crimes are now obvious even to the blind. The dogma that they despise and deride in others is indisputable and incontrovertible when it is they who promote it.

But as I have said previously, they are forgetting a small detail, a particular that they cannot understand: the Truth exists in itself; it exists regardless of whether there is someone who believes it, because the Truth possesses in itself, ontologically, its own reason for validity. The Truth cannot be denied because it is an attribute of God; it is God Himself. And everything that is true participates in this primacy over lies. We can thus be theologically and philosophically certain that these deceptions’ hours are numbered, because it will be enough to shine light on them to make them collapse. Light and darkness, precisely. So let us allow light to be shed on the deceptions of Biden and the Democrats, without taking even one step back: the fraud that they have plotted against President Trump and against America will not remain standing for long, nor will the worldwide fraud of Covid, the responsibility of the Chinese dictatorship, the complicity of the corrupt and traitors, and the enslavement of the deep church. Tout se tient [Everything fits together].

In this panorama of systematically constructed lies, spread by the media with a disturbing impudence, the election of Joe Biden is not only desired, but is considered indispensable and therefore true and therefore definitive. Even though the vote counts are not completed; even though the vote verifications and recounts are only just beginning; even though the lawsuits alleging fraud have only just been filed. Biden must become President, because they have already decided it: the vote of the American people is valid only if it ratifies this narrative – otherwise, it is “reinterpreted,” dismissed as plebiscite drift, populism, and fascism.

It is therefore not surprising that the Democrats have such coarse and violent enthusiasm for their candidate in pectore, nor that the media and the official commentators have such uncontainable satisfaction, nor that political leaders from around the world are expressing their support and sycophantic subjection to the deep state. We are watching a race to see who can arrive first, elbowing and sprawling to show off, so that they can be seen to have always believed in the crushing victory of the Democratic puppet. (Read more.

From The Federalist:

Federalist Senior Editor Mollie Hemingway took aim at corporate media Sunday after some outlets called the presidential race for Democratic candidate Joe Biden Saturday before votes were certified or lawsuits settled amid a close race with even thinner margins than 2016.

“When it comes to the media and conservative voters and their politicians, the media lie, they lie, they lie, and then they lie,” Hemingway said on Fox News “MediaBuzz.” “They were shocked by what happened because they spend the last four years lying about the success of the Donald Trump administration.”

Hemingway continued: “They created false narratives, such as the Russia collusion hoax, Anonymous, the Kavanaugh situation, the Covington kid, and they lied through intentionally false polling, which said that this was going to be a blowout for Democrats.”

Democrats have so far lost eight seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and have only flipped one seat in the Senate, falling two seats short of taking an upper-chamber majority absent pick-ups in North Carolina and Alaska, where Republicans currently lead. Both Georgia Senate races have moved to runoffs. Biden is on track to capture the White House by less than 50,000 votes across three tipping-point states in a tighter margin than Trump’s 2016 triumph by 77,000 votes across three states. From Politico:

Jason Miller, a senior adviser to President Donald Trump’s reelection effort, said Monday that the campaign was not remotely considering conceding to President-elect Joe Biden after the Democratic nominee was declared the winner of the 2020 White House race.

“That word is not even in our vocabulary right now,” Miller said in an interview on Fox Business.

“We’re going to go and pursue all these legal means, all the recount methods,” he said. “We’re going to continue exposing and investigating all these instances of fraud or abuse, and make sure … [that] the American public can have full confidence in these elections.”

Trump has refused to concede since the election was called for Biden on Saturday, after the former vice president flipped the key swing state of Pennsylvania and secured more than the 270 electoral votes needed to claim victory.

As of Monday morning, Biden had won 290 electoral votes to Trump’s 214 and maintained his lead in the traditionally Republican stronghold of Georgia.

But Trump has continued to push his baseless claims of widespread voter fraud, going so far as to accuse polling firms of voter suppression in a series of tweets Monday night (he did not explain how an opinion poll could suppress a vote). His campaign has also kept up its election-related legal challenges in several states.

That litigation and other more political options aimed at reversing race’s outcome are viewed by experts as unsubstantial and extraordinarily unlikely to succeed.

Elaborating on the Trump campaign’s strategy, Miller said Monday that election administrators will be “heading to automatic recounts” in Arizona and Georgia, and that a recount in Wisconsin is also likely.

Although Georgia officials have announced that a recount in the state will take place, Arizona’s secretary of state has suggested a recount there will not proceed. Trump’s campaign said last week that it would request a recount in Wisconsin.

Miller also raised the possibility of additional lawsuits in Michigan, Pennsylvania and other states that could be filed in the coming days.

“We’re talking right now about the 2020 election. We’re talking about President Trump. But this is much more even about the entire future of elections in America. This is about election integrity,” Miller said. (Read more.

To Archbishop Vigano...awesome! Beautifully and perfectly stated, yet frightening in its truth and what it bodes for the rest of us.
