Throughout the last seven to eight years, college campuses have been known to be the pinnacle of Socialist indoctrination centers, producing bastions of snowflake producing liberal arts students who want to spend $70,000 on a degree in Gender Studies, yet tout themselves to be pillars of free thinking. Unfortunately, due to the types of students coming out of these establishments, the world is seeing universities and colleges more and more as useless, expensive, liabilities towards the future of children.Share
Over the last three years, these efforts to squash free speech have been ramped up. Evergreen College is losing money and applicants after it complied with the race-baiting Social Justice Warriors who called for a “no-white day.” When liberal professor Bret Weinstein did not comply, he was called “racist Nazi” for not going along with this day.
DePaul University barred conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro from entering the grounds of the university on the threat of arrest. The same university stopped late night host and comedian Steven Crowder from coming, as well.
These are but a handful of examples where supposed centers of higher education, thought to be areas of free speech and figuring out hard to digest ideas, are producing more and more ultra sensitive, sheep-like creatures incapable of handling disagreements who would apparently shriek instead of using dialogue. One can only hope for the future of education for America’s children.
Enter the last month or so, Professor Christine Fair, who is a touted as a Distinguished Associate professor at Georgetown University. Recently, this professor had her Twitter blue check removed, and her account has been suspended.
Reason? Her latest tweet, “Look at this chorus of entitled white men justifying a serial rapist’s arrogated entitlement. All of them deserve miserable deaths while feminist laugh as they take their last gasp. Bonus: we castrate their corpses and feed them to swine? Yes!”
The problem with this tweet, other than the rampant double standard it shows, is the assumption of guilt even before any facts are delivered. This tweet was in light of the current Brett Kavanaugh hearings.
Twitter initially suspended her account “on accident.” Reinstated, she then goes right back tweeting, “Fox News Failed to silence me. Thank you all for sending @Twitter messages of support. I do NOT and NEVER have condoned violence. My tweet, as I have explained, was an attempt to make YOU as UNCOMFORTABLE as I am using the language of the abuse I received by the hundreds." Fair tweeted this on Tuesday afternoon. (Read more.)
