I went to an exhibit once at the National Archives in Paris displaying many documents associated with the lives of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette--it included samples of fabrics wit MA's selections, seating arrangements at banquets, etc. The most moving little document was of the Dauphin, learning to write his new last name (Capet)! (The 't' was backwards!)
