Becoming Jane (2007)

The Washington Post discusses the contemporary fascination with Jane Austen and how "Janeite" fans are upset about the historical liberties taken with the author's life in the new film. I completely understand. However, Becoming Jane seems pretty harmless, although it is not really fair to portray a suitor as being the spark which ignited her genius, when Jane was already a brilliant writer when she met him. But I will say no more until I have seen it myself.... Share
