Thanks for posting this. I love running into fellow veil wearers.

Me, too, Dymphna. It is odd, the bizarre ideas some Catholics have over this beautiful and traditional practice. One lady on some blog told me it was spiritual vanity to wear a veil, if other women in the church are uncovered. But a priest told me that it can also be spiritual vanity NOT to wear a head-covering; it depends on what is in the heart, which only God can see. I personally do not understand why people are so afraid of what others think....

I veil at every Mass, and have felt the calling to cover daily as well.I do not think that this is a pratice that should be forgotten. There is nothing more beautiful than a woman following the Holy Spirit....thats mot oppion on the matter. Im the only woman that veils at my Parish, and thats okay with me. I know that the Holy Spirit is opening the heats of Catholic women everywhere. There is a great group on yahoo that I am a member if,here is the site.. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Catholic_Covered_Plain_N_Crunchy/

The women there are awesome, and its great to know that you're not alone.God Bless you!
