Beatrix Potter's Inner Life

The great children's author and illustrator's secret struggles and turmoils are pondered in this thoughtful book review. Here is an informative website about her as well. As children we loved Miss Potter's stories; we still do. Share

I was not able to get on the site so do not know if I am repeating if I relate information from having read about her life many years ago. She was another young woman who suffered from being over protected by her father the same as Elizabeth Barrett Browning. She was a brilliant scientest and discovered the phenomenon of symbosis in certain mosses. Because of being a women she could not get her work accepted by the all male British scientific community, so had a sympathetic male friend submit the findings under his name.
