Eighteenth Century Style

Here is gallery of pictures from a Russian site. Quite spectacular, really. Below is a painting of the child Marie-Antoinette performing a ballet with her brothers at their eldest brother's wedding.

That site is beautiful. She certainly spent many hours posing for artists, and they did a superb job or capturing the details of the gowns. Blue was truly her color.

A simply amazing website. The photos of dresses and the history of the gown in the 18th century are remarkable! How sad it ends with the murder of Her Majesty and the violence and barbarism of the revolution.
