Strange Old Gardening Tips

Jackie of Weave a Garland has collected some quaint gardening tips while researching her historical novel. I know from experience that using the wood ash on lilies works quite well. Share

I used wood ash last year on my apple tree when I saw it recommended in a vintage gardening text. I'm hoping for a higher yield this year. I like the vintage advice as well. :)
