New Exhibit on Mary Stuart

At the National Museum of Scotland this summer. (Via On the Tudor Trail.)
The exhibition will provide an opportunity to re-visit much that has been written and speculated about Mary, one of the most charismatic monarchs of all time. Taking a fresh, innovative approach, using jewels, textiles, furniture, documents and portraits, Mary’s dramatic story and this fascinating period in Scottish history will be explored in detail. Goodness, I almost read that as "New Exhibit on Mary Surratt!" Now that I think of it, there are actually quite a few similarities there. Catholic women, probably not the most prudent, accused of being part of assassination plots, dubious trials, controversial executions...But I guess U.S. history and the monarchs of Europe are competing for space in my head!
