Old Lyon



Historical fiction writer Julianne Douglas describes Lyon as it was in Renaissance France. When we drove through it in the late nineties it did not look all that different. Share

Thanks for the link, Maria Elena! Lyon is a beautiful city, and just as important to France's economy and culture as it was in the 1500's.

Yes, and it was the site of anti-revolutionary sentiments in the days of the Revolution and Restoration. Marie-Therese visited there in 1815 and was warmly welcomed.
