Thanks for that link. She was a fascinating character.
I was not able to get on the site so do not know if I am repeating if I relate information from having read about her life many years ago. She was another young woman who suffered from being over protected by her father the same as Elizabeth Barrett Browning. She was a brilliant scientest and discovered the phenomenon of symbosis in certain mosses. Because of being a women she could not get her work accepted by the all male British scientific community, so had a sympathetic male friend submit the findings under his name.
I am interested to learn more about the new film about her.
She had tremendous insight into human nature. Her beautiful stories I read and read for myself now that my children and grandchildren are mostly grown. sst
