A friend who home schools his children once pointed out, when confronted with that same question: "Look who they're (kids in public schools) socializing with!"
Good to know, but not surprising having met a few home school advocates who I find to be, themselves, gracious people......So it goes without saying that their children would be as well. Also, not having unsavory influences that one can run into in public (or parochial)schools helps immensely.
Thanks for the link, and glad you enjoyed the linked article. I always found the socialization question odd - school is for learning, not socializing. Socialization should happen after school. We've got more time than most to socialize because we are done by noon.
