Here is a detail of the wedding of Charles-Ferdinand, Duc de Berry, the younger son of the Comte d'Artois, to Caroline of Naples, June 17, 1816 at Notre Dame de Paris. A marriage by proxy had already occurred in April of 1816 in Naples. The bride wore a tiara that had belonged to her great-aunt Marie-Antoinette.
