A place for friends to meet... with reflections on politics, history, art, music, books, morals, manners, and matters of faith.
A blog by Elena Maria Vidal.
A portrait of
Countess Marie Karoline von Fuchs-Mollard, the Governess of Maria
Theresa, done by Martin van Meytens. They had an extremely close
relationship, with the Countess practically having raised her. When she
died in 1754, Maria Theresa had her buried in the Imperial Crypt, and
she is the only person buried there that was not a member of the
Habsburg Family.

I would like to respond to every comment but my schedule renders it impossible to do so. Please know that I appreciate those who take the time to share their thoughts.
