Emperor Worship

It appears to be a trend in pagan cultures.

  1. Hmmm...even today, kind of seems like the trend is still going strong...

  2. The Roman Emperor indeed enjoyed the status of semi-god, this trend, however, was not unique in Roman culture. In the past, both Chinese and Japanese emperors claimed themselves semi-gods. The combination of religious/idol worship and political power is a dangerous thing, one which should not exist in modern society.
However, in my opinion, the frenzies over the new U.S president surely will not threaten the foundations of the countries' precious democratic legacies.
