An ancient flood...
...turned Britain into an island, claims a recent scientific discovery. (Via LRC) How different would history be, had Britain remained part of the continent.

It kills me - we already know there was an ancient flood but for some reason the world gets excited about the latest scientific discoveries about an ancient flood!
