Miraculous Infant of Beaune
Terry has this post about the Carmelite nun of Beaune who prayed for the queen of France to have a child. Anne of Austria had been married to Louis XIII for over twenty-three years but they were childless. (And people were upset that Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette were childless after only seven years.) Venerable Sr. Margaret of the Blessed Sacrament prayed to the Child Jesus for a baby for the royal pair.
Sr. Margaret had a revelation in prayer: she affirmed that the Queen was going to have a son, and accurately predicted the date of birth of the future Louis XIV. The royal family expressed their gratitude to Carmel.
This must be what Our Lord referred to when He told St. Margaret Mary in 1689 concerning Louis XIV:
MAKE KNOWN TO THE ELDEST SON OF MY HEART THAT AS HIS TEMPORAL BIRTH WAS OBTAINED THROUGH DEVOTION TO THE MERITS OF MY HOLY CHILDHOOD, IN THE SAME MANNER HE WILL OBTAIN HIS BIRTH OF GRACE AND ETERNAL GLORY BY THE CONSECRATION THAT HE WILL MAKE OF HIMSELF TO MY ADORABLE HEART.
