Niall of the Nine Hostages. He was the Irish version of Genghis Khan. Many Irish people are descended from him, whether they like it or not. My father always told us that we were descended from him. According to tradition, Niall was the one who originally kidnapped Saint Patrick and brought him to Ireland. God works in mysterious ways.
