I absolutely adore Montreal- it's the only city for which I'd leave Chicago, and it's surely the most beautiful city with the most interesting character- refined,yet friendly and warm, and very French- in North America. If you can't live in France, it's the place to go. What's more, house prices are moderate in this ignored jewel of a city, in contrast to other prominent Canadian burgs.
