At least, that is my English translation of the French. I've studied French, but I must admit to not having a very good head for languages! Apparently the perfume is quite expensive; something like $900 (Cdn) for less than an ounce! I would love to have a small sniff, though...*wistfully*
Where on Facebook did you find the portrait?! I am amazed; I thought that I was the only one who used their Facebook, in part, to try to vindicate the Royal Couple (and push for their Cause.) Wow.
~Aron <><Aronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02997427811519149154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7534539169157708222.post-65715781161494711792010-07-12T04:56:08.757-04:002010-07-12T04:56:08.757-04:00Eric!

I have to admit I hid behind an enormous door and urinated out of sheer desparation. I think Versailles would have presented with something similar.Rexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17974444306465956518noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7534539169157708222.post-75064517203053036962010-04-06T16:50:38.246-04:002010-04-06T16:50:38.246-04:00Very interesting. Sometimes a person's perfume can be absolutely overwhelming. Thank goodness for indoor plumbing though. I would have thought they would at least go outside.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08032608995783288531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7534539169157708222.post-77832312269018398632010-03-15T10:40:36.825-04:002010-03-15T10:40:36.825-04:00Thank you! It's called "A Scented Palace - the Secret History of Marie Antoinette's Perfumer" - author Elizabeth de Freydeau; I B Taurus London 2006. It may have a different title in the USA and other countries. It describes how her perfumes were concocted for her.
