Cradle of the Comte de Chambord


Above is the cradle of Marie-Thérèse-Charlotte's beloved nephew, Henri, Duc de Bordeaux, later called the Comte de Chambord and pretender to the throne of France. The prince is shown with his sister, Louise d'Artois.

    When one compares it with the grandiose cradle of Napoleon's son, this seems quite simple by contrast...
