Yes, I am going over my quota today. But Daniel Mitsui has a superb but disturbing article about the modern trend of destroying the sense of the sacred by perverting it. This article was very disturbing. It makes perfect sense and put words to things I have been thinking and noticing for years but did not know how to articulate.
ReplyDeleteIt is not just 'personal preference' or 'taste in art' .... it is a diabolical twisting of truth, loveliness and beauty.
So many American Catholics have been subjected to this trash for so long that they have become like the proverbial frog in the kettle.
Now I know why when I look at some of this 'art' or wreckovations the hair on the back of my neck stands up....
Or profaning the church in San Francisco a few years back by having cross-dressers prancing around the Sacristy.
