The painting is the Adoration of the Magi by Symon Czechowicz (1689-1775), courtesy of scholar and gentleman Jeffrey Smith at Triumphant Baroque. I will be taking a break from blogging for a few days in order to better enter into the mystery of the Nativity with my family and parish. O Emmanuel, our King and Lawgiver, the Expectation and Savior of the nations! come and save us, O Lord our God!
