Something about the loyalty of the little girl who braves so many dangers to rescue her friend... I also find it very interesting, the way Kay has to spell "eternity" with the ice splinters in the Snow Queen's palace. Also, the different characters Gerda meets on her journey, the robber girl, the Lapland woman, etc., are very interesting. The whole story is written in such a poetic and haunting manner...Mayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18230268418171628594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7534539169157708222.post-17714731068769588912009-01-26T17:20:00.000-05:002009-01-26T17:20:00.000-05:00I think Thumbelina is a Hans Andersen invention, a...I think Thumbelina is a Hans Andersen invention, albeit a delightful one.

Yes, I am going to be doing more posts on classic fairy-tales, especially those that my friend Regina Doman has used for her novels.elena maria vidalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17129629173535139807noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7534539169157708222.post-27005757856885349112009-01-26T14:22:00.000-05:002009-01-26T14:22:00.000-05:00+JMJ+What about Thumbelina? She doesn't slay any giants, however; she just becomes Queen of the Fairies.

You know, I haven't thought about these fairy tales in a long, long time! =) Will you be discussing more in the future, Elena?Enbrethilielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03414765854670926854noreply@blogger.com
