The 25-acre garden has been knowledgeably created and lovingly cared for by fine art dealer Simon Dickinson and his wife Jessica for 35 years. It’s a winningly eclectic combination of enclosed gardens, structured planting and varied garden buildings, which lead out to wilder areas of woodland walks, a lake and an arboretum. Strategically placed follies, urns and statues create elegant vistas and there are countless secret hiding places for Phoebe’s two daughters, Indigo and Amara, and nephew, Digby, to leave flower presents for fairies. ‘It’s a time to try and be imaginative with your children,’ says Phoebe. ‘We often make up stories of a Harry Potter gate and the enchanted world beyond.’ (Read more.)
